. The hotel is immaculately designed and is the most stylish I’ve ever seen in a hotel. The room was also a great size and had everything, from a large comfortable double bed to a roomy bathroom, and this made relaxing in the room fun. Rather uniquely, the room included a Nespresso machine and portable speaker! . There were also other areas in the hotel lobby which were comfortable to spend some downtime in and watch the football matches. . The location of the hotel is really convenient as it’s across the road from one of the main bus stops and a few minutes walk to the main shopping streets. The beautiful harbour is also close by. . The staff were all really friendly and attentive, which we really appreciated. A special shout-out to the receptionists as they made check-in and check-out seamless. . The price for our room was quite fair, given what was included with our stay. This is especially as Reykjavik is generally pricey!

Great rooms. Everything you need. Fridge was great to have, plus speaker..coffee machine. Breakfast was one of the best in hotels I've had. Great selection with super healthy filling options including a lovely fruity porridge, lots of fruit, delicious sour dough bread and loads of options for either north Europan style egg, hams, cheese, salads of all sorts or continential cereal and bread options. Also two pancake machines which guests seemed to loe.. Lovely chic boutique feel to hotel, just stroll away from main shopping area and overlooking the harbour. Gets you in holiday mood. But would stay there for business too no problem. The sauna - didn't use but would the next time. Staff super helpful and accommodating. Nothing to fault. Also great bakery attached to the restaurant/ breakfast bar area.

Great communication before we arrived. Location excellent , easy to walk to sites in the city and also to use bus pick up points. Good selection of food at breakfast. Bakery on site really useful for food to take out on trips. Room was well equipped, always warm and comfortable. The whole hotel is kept very clean, staff always around cleaning and tidying communal areas. Coffee machine in reception area great for a quick drink before heading out and when returning to hotel. Good selection of food in the restaurant attached to the hotel , good service and reasonably priced. This is not a luxurious hotel, it is quirky/edgy/industrial design and may not suit all tastes. However we really liked it and the Exeter does everything you need exceptionally well. Would definitely stay again.

This was our second time staying at the Exeter. The hotel is conveniently located to the heart of Reykjavik near many restaurants, bars and places that would be of interest to the tourists. Compared to the other hotels in the area, this is always one of my top picks. The price, friendly and helpful staff, along with the amenities offered at the hotel, along with its location are definitely a plus. During your stay, make sure you get a donut or pastry in the morning from the shop at the hotels entrance, and a cold beer and some food from the adjoining restaurant later in the day. Lastly, if you are in Reykjavik for a cruise, this is a great hotel pre or post cruise. It’s a short taxi ride (10 or so minutes) from the cruise terminal.

Central location, nice relaxed environment with bakery and restaurant on-site as well as some excellent restaurants on your doorstep. Beds were extremely comfortable with a large shower and plenty of space. Staff were there on hand to support and took the time to organise our travel. Really friendly staff members and the welcome Monday Night Jazz band was a hit too in the restaurant/bar area. The sauna is also a hit as well as the welcome chocolates we received in our room on arrival. Would recommend this hotel.. the online check in before arrival was great as well as the welcome even before we arrived via message via app! Great service and great breakfast too! Thank you to all staff members who work at the hotel!
